Job Summary

Senior Data Platform Engineer / Lead Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Platform Engineer to design develop and maintain a modern cloud-based data platform on Microsoft Azure for a large-scale financial services environment supporting critical data workloads for the Swiss Stock Exchange. The role involves leading legacy-to-cloud migrations driving data transformation initiatives and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an agile setup.

Required Skills & Experience

12 years of experience in building and maintaining data pipelines on public cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred) or Big Data platforms such as Hadoop / Cloudera
Strong expertise in relational databases and advanced SQL
Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Databricks
- Apache Spark
- Azure Data Factory
- NoSQL data stores
- Data modeling (conceptual logical physical)
Solid understanding of Data Warehousing and Big Data architectures
Experience working in Agile methodologies (SCRUM Kanban SAFe)
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
