Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst with strong functional expertise across PolicyCenter BillingCenter and ClaimCenter. The role focuses on gathering and translating business requirements into clear actionable system requirements while ensuring alignment with Guidewire best practices and P&C insurance processes.
Must-Have / Mandatory Skills
Strong understanding of Guidewire suite: PolicyCenter BillingCenter ClaimCenter
Expertise in requirements gathering analysis and documentation
Ability to create user stories acceptance criteria and process flows
Knowledge of Guidewire configuration options product models and best practices
Experience in gap analysis and mapping business processes to Guidewire capabilities
Proficiency in Agile/Scrum backlog refinement and sprint planning
Understanding of integration concepts (web services APIs upstream/downstream systems)
Ability to collaborate with developers testers architects and business stakeholders
Strong skills in use cases UI mockups data mappings and workflow diagrams
Experience supporting QA teams with test scenarios and requirement traceability
Hands-on involvement in UAT planning business validation and defect triage
Excellent stakeholder communication facilitation and workshop-leading skills
Strong documentation traceability and change-management capabilities
Knowledge of P&C insurance domain including underwriting billing and claims
Ability to translate complex business needs into clear system requirements
Key Responsibilities
Gather analyze and document business requirements for Guidewire PolicyCenter BillingCenter and/or ClaimCenter implementations
Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert functional needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
Conduct gap analysis between existing processes and Guidewire best-practice solutions
Work closely with configuration and integration teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
Facilitate requirement walkthroughs workshops and validation sessions
Create and maintain process flows use cases data mappings and UI mockups
Partner with QA teams to define test scenarios and validate system functionality
Maintain requirement traceability and manage changes throughout the SDLC
Participate in backlog grooming sprint planning and Agile ceremonies
Support defect analysis and resolution during testing cycles
Provide functional expertise on Guidewire features and configuration options
Ensure adherence to documentation standards and project governance
Act as a liaison between business users technical teams and vendors
Support post-deployment activities including training production validation and enhancements
Required Skills:
Experience (Years): 4-6 Essential Skills: Work with project teams throughout the organization to design implement and manage CDN infrastructure using Akamai to ensure high availability performance and scalability for customer facing applications and business processes. Handle multiple priorities and assignments with excellence and precision. Be a part of a 24/7/365 organization (some after hours support is expected as part of normal on-call rotation). Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python Bash) a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) are a plus but not required.
