We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Manager to lead site development projects from concept through completion in our Westminster Colorado office. This role combines deep technical expertise with team leadership project management and business development including client engagement proposal support and growth of key accounts. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who excels at mentoring high-performing teams strengthening client relationships and driving profitable high-quality projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong client relationships by exceeding expectations through collaboration responsiveness and problem-solving
Serve as a primary client contact providing regular project updates addressing concerns and coordinating with stakeholders
Prepare project proposals including scope schedules and fee estimates
Lead the execution of site civil projects overseeing technical design permitting approvals financial performance and client coordination
Ensure compliance with local jurisdictional requirements entitlement processes and permitting regulations
Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress schedules and budgets to meet profitability goals
Assign and manage workloads schedules and priorities for project teams
Ensure department and individual QA/QC standards are followed consistently
Mentor and lead staff to promote efficiency quality and professional growth
Assist the Department Manager with the implementation and improvement of processes procedures and operational practices
Advise the Department Manager on project-related operational and management matters
Support business development efforts by maintaining existing client relationships and pursuing new opportunities through industry involvement meetings and events

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in site civil engineering and project management
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado
Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Demonstrated design experience in site planning layout grading storm drainage stormwater management utilities erosion control and landscaping
Strong understanding of entitlement processes and local permitting requirements
Proven experience managing projects budgets and multidisciplinary teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Strong engineering judgment analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to represent the organization externally
Self-motivated proactive and solutions-oriented leadership style
