Full-Time Ride Technician

What you get to do:

Youll be responsible for performing all general maintenance of rides to provide a safe environment for guests and team members alike. Were looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go! Youll provide the knowledge experience and expertise necessary to ensure our attractions and facility plumbing runs flows and drains smoothly. You will:

• Conduct daily ride inspections
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services
• Provide support in troubleshooting problems with mechanical electrical and pneumatic equipment
• Provide excellent service to guests and team members
• Consistently practice safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment lifting and reporting of unsafe situations
• Maintain repair replace and/or install plumbing piping and plumbing fixtures related to city and non-potable water and sewage throughout the park
• Be responsible for the interior and exterior of park as well as main sewer lines building sewer lines drains and clean-outs grease traps/pits manholes and lift stations
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and solve most problems with minimum supervision
• Adhere to safety and handling procedures as well as state and federal regulations
• Perform tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park operational guidelines; organize and plan daily workload
• Maintain cleanliness in the plumbing shop pumphouses and storage areas
• Work on plumbing at our attractions to keep them in top working condition to include ride motor piping and filtration and chemical dosing systems

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers license and ability to obtain a park drivers license
• Obtain and maintain a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within a year from hire date.
• Ability to pass all ride competency tests and obtain certification
• Must be able to frequently lift push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Excellent communication skills and basic math abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand walk and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather
• Flexibility in working varied hours including weekends evenings and holidays
• At least three years of plumbing training or equivalent experience
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and/or drawings
• Knowledge of Sloan and Zurn flush-o-meters Chicago and Zurn faucets and other brands
• Knowledge of main and secondary supply/shutoff valves for city and non-potable water
• Ability to properly use appropriate hand and power tools (i.e. Spartan drain and sewer snake the Mustang jetter etc.)
• Installation skills with PVC piping and galvanized pipe
• Experience working with chemical and hazardous wastes
• Excellent communication and math skills
• lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Plumbing license a plus
