POSITION: Cleaner (10-Month)
Rossford Schools is seeking a dependable Cleaner for a full-time 10-month position. The Cleaner supports a clean safe and welcoming school environment by performing routine custodial services in an assigned building. The hours are 3:00-11:00 p.m.
Starting Hourly Rate: $17.33
Employment Status: Full Time 10-month position
Reports To:Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Superintendent
Qualifications
Valid drivers license
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb stairs
Good health high moral character and good attendance record
Courteous dependable and willing to accept responsibility and suggestions
Experience cleaning commercial areas preferred
Must remain free of alcohol and nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout employment
Primary Responsibilities
Clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms offices hallways stairs and restrooms
Sweep mop scrub and vacuum using appropriate methods
Empty trash and dispose of materials properly
Clean and restock restroom supplies
Set up rooms by arranging tables and chairs as directed
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely following MSDS and equipment guidelines
Report equipment issues/repair needs and follow work order procedures as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Occasional exposure to blood bodily fluids and tissue
Occasional interaction among unruly children
Must comply with all workplace safety and health rules and standards
