Job Summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for aDeputy Registered Managerto join a warm childcentred residential service supporting children and young people aged 817 who have experienced trauma disrupted attachments and emotional or behavioural challenges.

Youll be joining a wellestablished nurturing provider committed to delivering highquality therapeutic care within a homely stable environment. The home prides itself on consistency positive relationships and helping young people build resilience and achieve meaningful progress.

Working closely with the Registered Manager youll play a key role in leading the team shaping practice and ensuring the home continues to meet the highest standards of care and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in the daytoday running of the home ensuring it operates in line with Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Provide strong leadership to the staff team modelling best practice supervising staff and promoting a positive childfocused culture.
  • Oversee care planning risk assessments and behaviour support strategies to ensure young people receive safe consistent and therapeutic care.
  • Contribute to audits quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance ensuring the home is always inspectionready.
  • Build effective relationships with young people families professionals and external agencies to promote positive outcomes and stability.
  • Support with rota management recruitment training and development of the team.

Essential requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Level 5 Leadership & Management desirable or willingness to work towards it.
  • Strong understanding of Childrens Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards.
  • Experience working within a childrens residential setting ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Ability to lead motivate and develop a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
