Job Summary

Lead Software Engineer Systematics (Remote)

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Mainframe Systematics) to join and lead our team. We have engineers that have systems Mainframe and software engineering backgrounds. The software engineering role within Capital One is critical to our success and one that focuses on building a highly reliable scalable and measurable customer experience ensuring continued growth of Capital Ones critical services in the Bank.

What Youll Do:

You will be responsible for guiding software engineers on the systematics team responsible for the definition design construction integration testing and support of reliable and reusable software solutions addressing business opportunities
Includes systems analysis creation of specifications coding testing and implementation of application programs and data interfaces
Develop complex applications using GN/IM/RM/MA application experience and Agile
Requires previous domain experience with FIS/Systematics applications
You will demonstrate experience with large scale application integration efforts
Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges
Ensures that application designs are consistent with the attributes (including scalability availability maintainability and flexibility.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree
At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree
COBOL JCL VSAM on IBM mainframe experience
Ad Hoc reporting tools (Easytrieve or DYL)
Mainframe utilities (SORT IDCAMS etc.)
5 years of professional experience developing batch and CICS
Experience with database management systems SQL or other automated testing

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
