The Information and Data Management (IDM) department is responsible for data management and MI production across all international subsidiaries of MUSHD and EMEA region for MUFG Bank. The mandate for the department is to:

• Develop a business led technology enabled data strategy and roadmap for delivery of data managementtarget state
• Develop a data governance framework and establish data related policies and procedures to improve thevalue of data as an enterprise asset
• Source validate and maintain master data repositories of market and reference data
• Agree data quality standards with business owners and track metrics and continuously improve dataprocesses
• Investigate and analyse data issues identify the root cause and recommend control improvements
• Develop and support an MI platform optimised for the aggregation of data and the reporting of processedand analysed information
• Deliver accurate timely and insightful MI to the international business to support executive decisionmaking and to meet statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.

The team operates internationally with staff currently based in London New York Hong Kong Mumbai and Bangalore.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

You will be responsible for enabling sound and smooth execution of credit sanctioning process by providing guidance and support to business users of MUFG Bank Head Office credit systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibility: Provide front-line support to Head Office credit systems users in the region
• Responsibility: Provide guidance and assistance to users of Head Office credit systems: Global ZEUS GCARS
• Responsibility: Carry out duties as a London Data Officer. Where required provide support in delivering HO Monthly DQ Monitoring report.
• Responsibility: Proactive participation in data management activities.
• Responsibility: Supporting a business led technology enabled data strategy and roadmap for delivery of data management target state.
• Responsibility: Agree data quality standards with business owners and track metrics and continuously improve data processes.
• Responsibility: Act as the regional rep for Bank HO credit systems and provide guidance and support to business users to enable sound and smooth execution of credit sanctioning process.
• Responsibility: Investigate and analyse data issues identify the root cause and recommend control improvements.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Business experience with Japanese clients or partners

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a support desk or service desk role
• Experience working with Financial Institutions

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Essential

• Fluent Japanese Language and business communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software e.g. Excel etc.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Credit Risk and underlying data requirements
• Business Intelligence software e.g. Tableau / Business Objects etc.

Education / Qualifications:

Essential

• Bachelors degree or equivalent

Preferred:

• Degree in Data Science Computer Science or a related field
