Travel With Purpose

This role includes regular domestic travel across the whole of NZ with full travel expenses covered. Youll explore everything from Timaru to Ōamaru to Invercargill while helping drivers across WM NZ operate safely and confidently.

When youre not travelling 99% of your admin can be done from home or from our main office in Wellington/Christchurch. Youll have the autonomy to run your schedule manage your workload and shape your approach.

What Youll Be Doing

Deliver group and individual competencybased driver training
Assess drivers using approved WM NZ training materials and NZ standards
Build training plans for each branch and ensure compliance requirements are met
Coach and support Business Instructors across the country
Conduct audits when required
Keep training content up-to-date with legislation industry changes and best practice
Maintain accurate records and reporting
Model WM NZs values: Safety Service Sustainability Innovation and Together

Qualifications :

Essential

Clean NZ drivers licence (no exceptions)
I Endorsement (no exceptions)
Class 24 (Class 5 a strong advantage)
NZ industry experience - transport logistics waste or heavy vehicle operations
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Competence with MS Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel and stay away from home regularly
Competency delivering training to groups and individuals

Highly Advantageous

Experience with NZTA licensing ITO training or competencybased assessments
WTR OSH DG SAFED or similar certifications
Experience operating vehiclemounted equipment (front lift side lift hook lift Hiab etc.)
