Job Summary

Provides general computer and software development services to the department for the purpose of maintaining and upgrading the departments vast computer network.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintains current computational cluster in the department (essential)
  • Develops computer software to maintain the computational cluster. (essential)
  • Develops computer software to support new programs. (essential)
  • oversees computer backup services on a daily and monthly basis. (essential)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science required.
  • 5-8 yearsrelated work experience required.
  • Expertise in C/C FORTRAN JAVA UNIX SOLARIS LINUX MACINTOSH and WINDOWS operating systems.
  • Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.

Problem Solving:Ability to address problems that are highly varied complex and often non-recurring requiring staff input innovative creative and Lean diagnostic techniques to resolve issues.

Independence of Action:Ability to set goals and determines how to accomplish defined results with some guidelines. Manager/Director provides broad guidance and overall direction.

Written Communications:Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.

Oral Communications:Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff patients families and external customers.

Knowledge:Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations.

Team Work:Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows. Results may impact the operations of one or more departments.

Customer Service:Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s). Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.

Social/Environmental Requirements:

Work requires close attention to task for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the work day do not compromise the work.

Work is varied every day and the employee needs to be adaptable to respond to these changes and use independent judgment and manage priorities.

No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions

Pay Range:

$83200.00 USD - $112320.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors that may include seniority education training relevant experience relevant certifications geographyof work location job responsibilities or other applicable factors permissible by law.
