JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:Oversee and manage daily payroll operations ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees (hourly salary bonuses commissions etc.).
- Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with all federal state and local payroll wage and hour laws and validate all payroll tax returns and other required reports are filed accurately and timely (e.g. W-2s 1099s).
- Team Leadership:Supervise mentor and train payroll and incentive teams providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Auditing and Reconciliation:Conduct regular internal audits of payroll records and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Issue Resolution & Customer Service:Serve as one of the primary points of contact for complex payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees management and external agencies ensuring timely and professional resolution.
- Process Improvement:Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration:Coordinate closely with Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure seamless information flow and alignment on policies benefits and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Payroll.
