POSITION SUMMARY:
Dubois Chemicals is a growing company with global operations and significant merger & acquisition activity. Our North America accounting team is looking for a new staff accountant to join our team!
This individuals responsibilities include maintaining financial records for our US operations performing (and automating) account reconciliations driving & improving monthly closing and driving process improvement within the team. You will also be assisting the controller & CFO as needed with ad-hoc projects.
Your ticket to the show is a strong grasp of accounting principles and organizational skills but what were really looking for is someone that is process oriented enjoys fixing things and likes working with data. Were looking for someone who is never satisfied with the status quo and enjoys working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintaining financial reports records and general ledger accounts
Preparing journal entries analyses and assisting with monthly close processes
Performing & automating monthly balance sheet & bank account reconciliations
In charge of reconciling Inventory and working with Supply Chain team to understand costs
Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
Responding to information requests reviewing financial statements and assisting with audits
Ensuring compliance with GAAP
Assisting the Controller and CFO as needed
Assisting with setting up ERP account structures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of accounting experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
ERP system experience
Working knowledge of GAAP
Strong analytical skills & ability to work with large data sets
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Prior experience with BI/Analytics tools helpful but not required (e.g. Alteryx DataIku Power BI Spotfire Tableau Qlik etc.)
