With U.S. locations in Jacksonville FL Norwich NY and the Dayton OH area a Unison Engineer may experience work with advanced ignition systems sensors compact permanent magnet generators harnesses engine starters flexible joints fluid delivery and thermal management systems. The Project Engineer works within a well-defined operations framework and generally follows a step-by-step sequence of standard engineering tasks which need to be followed to achieve design and product quality.

Job Description

Role Overview:

  • Executes the design analysis and/or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product / program requirements. This work involves the mechanical design of electrical and mechanical products.
  • Develops conceptual knowledge of technical discipline primarily based on Mechanical design analysis and engineering principles. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in a broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of the business as developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of their own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults a supervisor mentor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and Unison Industries. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Engineering discipline)
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship status

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects
  • Ability to document plan market and execute projects
  • Established project management skills

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident U.S. Citizen have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e. a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
