Benefits Account Executive

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Benefits Account Executive to join a dynamic team. This is a strategic role that involves managing and growing a portfolio of self-funded benefits accounts primarily consisting of 500 group lives accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agency benefits a proven track record of success and the ability to work collaboratively with producers and account managers to deliver exceptional service to clients. This position offers a hybrid work environment with a focus on teamwork innovation and professional growth.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $135000 - $155000 (depending on experience)
  • Competitive benefits package 401(k) paid time off professional development opportunities etc.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to producers standing in for them when necessary and attending annual sales meetings.
  • Manage renewals and develop strategies for the existing book of business.
  • Collaborate with account managers to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Handle a portfolio of mostly self-funded benefits accounts with 500 group lives.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to clients on benefits-related matters.
  • Utilize Zywave and EPIC software to manage accounts and streamline processes.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education & Licenses: Life & Health (L&H) license required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of agency benefits experience required.
    • 10 years of experience and self-funded benefits expertise preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Zywave and EPIC software.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
