TMD Staffing is looking to hire 3G Flux-Core Welders in the North side of Houston 77060 area.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
In-Person Shop
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle vertical welding (uphill or downhill) using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
- On a groove or fillet joints in structural steel
- Assess skill in controlling weld puddle maintain proper welding techniques (stickout angle travel)
- Manage slag (chipping/cleaning after each pass)
- Achieve code-compliant welds flaw-free on thicker plates
- Competent flat/horizontal positions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pass Test 3G Process FCAW joint types on material 3/8-1 thick
- Follow codes such as AWS D1.1
- Will be tested on technique slag management heat control appearance and integrity
PAY
$25/hour depending on experience and test results
SCHEDULE
AM and PM shifts available
