We are looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and ensure our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations in our restaurant. This role requires strong leadership skills a deep understanding of kitchen management and the ability to maintain a high standard of food quality and safety. The Kitchen Manager will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff manage inventory and supplies and ensure that our kitchen runs efficiently to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team fostering a positive working environment.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff providing guidance on food preparation techniques and presentation.
- Schedule and manage kitchen staff shifts to ensure proper coverage and efficiency.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations including food safety and sanitation practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities equipment and food storage to ensure compliance.
- Manage inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Monitor food costs and implement strategies to control expenses while maintaining quality.
- Assist in menu planning and development considering cost and seasonal ingredients.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring timely and efficient meal preparation and service.
- Address any issues that arise in the kitchen including service delays or staff conflicts.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
