ATMRI at NTU is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join its interdisciplinary team working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Natural Language Processing (NLP)/Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multi-Agent Systems (MAS). This role involves both fundamental and applied research in intelligent systems for air traffic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research in:
NLP tasks including language understanding generation summarization and dialogue systems.
Advanced retrieval augmented generation techniques and Agentic AI frameworks.
Time-series analysis and time-series foundation models.
Develop and evaluate AI models:
Agent-based and LLM-based models using frameworks such as PyTorch TensorFlow HuggingFace Transformers and LangChain.
Prototypes for LLM-powered decision-support systems and language interfaces.
Develop GenAI POCs with safety-critical application as central focus.
Curate process and analyze air traffic and domain-relevant textual data.
Design and implement simulation platforms and experimental pipelines for algorithm validation.
Visualize simulation and experimental results to support decision-making and research findings.
Contribute to:
High-impact publications and technical reports.
Project proposals internal knowledge transfer and collaborative research efforts
Collaborate with industry and academic stakeholders for real-world integration of AI solutions
Requirements:
Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence Computer Science Optimization Computational Linguistics or a related field.
Strong foundations in multi-agent systems NLP and python programming.
Good writing and communication skills.
Able to work independently work comfortably with team and external/international collaborators.
