POSITION SUMMARY

The SUDP(T) providesclinical support and programmatic assistance within an adolescent residentialsubstance use disorder treatment program. This role is responsible fordelivering trauma-informed developmentally appropriate and respectful carewhile maintaining strong professional boundaries. The SUDP(T) conductsassessments facilitates self-help individual and group sessions participatesin treatment planning and advocates for residents needs. All work isperformed in compliance with HIPAA 42 CFR Part 2 and organizational position collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support residentstabilization recovery and engagement while serving as a positive role modelfor residents and peers.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Participatein the planning implementation and ongoing review of individual residentmaster treatment plans under appropriate supervision.

Conductself-help individual and group therapy sessions and complete substance usedisorder assessments to support clinically sound case management and treatmentplanning.

Maintaintherapeutic professional relationships with residents demonstrate strongprofessional boundaries ethical conduct and positive role modeling.

Monitorand evaluate resident behavior progress and engagement identifyingimprovement concerns or the need for referral to a higher level of care.

Providecare and treatment that is respectful compassionate and delivered withintegrity particularly during periods of resident struggle or crisis.

Advocatefor residents by actively collaborating with the treatment team exploringappropriate interventions and supporting resident stabilization and recovery.

Counselresidents and families in aftercare and discharge planning includingcoordination with community resources such as tribal entities service unitsschools and follow-up providers.

Coordinateresident discharges ensuring continuity of care and appropriate transitionsupports.

Maintainconsistent engagement with residents on the unit to support structureaccountability and a therapeutic environment.

Providesupport to Behavioral Health Support Specialists and work collaborativelywithin a multidisciplinary team.

Presentresident progress treatment needs and barriers to multidisciplinary teams tosupport informed and coordinated care decisions.

Completerequired clinical documentation and reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Performall duties in compliance with HIPAA 42 CFR Part 2 and organizational privacyand confidentiality policies.

Communicateclearly professionally and respectfully with residents families coworkersand leadership.

Followorganizational policies and procedures and serve as a positive role model bydemonstrating professionalism ethical behavior and appropriate workplaceboundaries.

Promotea positive trauma-informed and culturally responsive work environment.

Performother duties as assigned in support of resident care and program operations.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS

Candidatesmust meet the minimum educational and experience requirements for the positionanddemonstrateproficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) and other relevant applications.

Enrolledinan Addiction Studies Programand have completed one (1) semester and/ortwo (2) quarters of addiction studieswith an accredited program forAddiction Studiesorassociates degree in psychologyCounselingSocialWork or related field and working on the Core Courses of Addiction Studies.

CurrentWashington State Substance Use Disorder Professional/Trainee license in goodstanding

Twoyearsrelated experience and/or training or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience highly preferred.

Experienceworking with high risk adolescents or inpatient treatmentpreferred.

SUDPTswill be directly under the supervision of a Licensed SUDP Clinical Supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMAND
While performing the duties of this position the employee maybe required to stand walk or sit for extended periods; bend stoop orcrouch; lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; use hands to handle or feel objectsand reach with arms; and communicate clearly and effectively in person and byphone. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjustfocus. Occasional extended hours or weekend work may berequired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is typically performed in an indoor collaborative noise level is moderate and interactionsfrequentlyinvolvecommunication and teamwork beyond basic work instructions.
