Job Summary
Delivery driver is responsible for transporting goods from our company site to customers or pick up items as needed. Delivery drivers must follow all DOT regulations per local state and federal law and company driving policies. Maintain a sense of urgency to meet deadlines of customer requested delivery dates / times while doing so in a safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle
- Deliver packages to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Follow delivery instructions and maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid state (company location state) or commercial drivers license (or ability to obtain one if relocating) required in compliance with state regulations. Must meet eligibility criteria for company driving policies including passing a motor vehicle report (MVR) check.
- Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
