Test Rig Engineer

We are developing the next generation of drivetrains for conventional hybrid and fully electric the state-of-the-art R&D Test Center we combine deep engineering expertise with advanced testing facilities to create innovative transmissions and powertrains that are high-performing efficient and sustainable.
As a Test Rig Engineer you play a key role in developing operating and optimizing advanced endurance test rigs. You work at the intersection of hardware software and mechatronics directly contributing to the reliability and quality of our powertrain solutions.
Your challenge
As a Test Rig Engineer you take ownership of one or more loaded test rigs and ensure flawless execution of component and system tests. Your responsibilities include:
- Operating developing and optimizing test rigs for hybrid electric and conventional drivetrains.
- Taking full responsibility for your test rigs: daily operation maintenance upgrades and efficiency improvements.
- Continuously improving the test environment both in hardware and software with a focus on precision innovation and reproducibility.
(The test rigs run on a real-time platform using Python and CANape for automation.) - Acting as the first point of contact for operational issues and resolving them systematically with a focus on prevention.
- Collaborating closely with validation engineers test engineers operators and other R&D teams to optimize testing processes.
- Developing tools procedures and documentation to standardize operations and improve test quality and efficiency through KPI tracking.
Your background
- Engineering degree with a strong interest in mechatronic systems.
- Ability to understand complex systems in a test environment.
- Programming skills are required.
- Solid knowledge of control theory structural dynamics and high-voltage applications.
- Experience with automotive testing sensors data acquisition test equipment and electromechanics.

- You connect people and disciplines and coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- You work proactively structured and innovatively with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
- You communicate clearly in English and are always looking for optimizations and implement them effectively.
