Skilled Maintenance Supervisor
As a Skilled Maintenance Supervisor you will supervise a team of Technicians in various skilled trades and coordinate construction maintenance and repair activities for the Parks Recreation and Cultural Services Department.
As a Skilled Maintenance Supervisor you will:
Select supervise train and evaluate Skilled Maintenance Technicians
Prioritize schedule and assign work to Skilled Maintenance Technicians
Inspect staff and contractor work to ensure compliance with Park construction standards
Research and order necessary materials and supplies
Coordinate maintenance needs and projects with other Parks Department supervisors
Ability to assign and track work through asset management program software
Reconcile monthly billing and account management for assigned team and budget
Work with Design & Development Asset Supervisor to prioritize a list of projects to be completed
Participate in project planning and pre-construction walk through
Prepare and execute assigned budget

What you need to succeed in this role:
Knowledge of:
Maintenance methods equipment and techniques related to welding concrete sign fabrication amenities maintenance facility repairs playground maintenance graffiti removal steel fabrication equipment operation excavation lock and key program and other areas assigned
Repair and maintenance standards for playground structures play elements and playground surfacing
Material handling and construction processes
Preventative maintenance requirements
Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
Methods and techniques of record keeping
Work order and inventory management systems
Ability to:
Oversee multiple projects and staff
Perform advanced and complex work related to park maintenance
Safely operate a variety of tools equipment and machinery
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Read and respond to multiple emails daily
Proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite on a daily basis
Work will be performed in an office/field environment with travel from site to site and possible exposure to inclement weather heat cold dirt dust and noise.
High school diploma or GED
Five years of full-time professional skilled maintenance or construction experience
One or more years of supervisory experience
Possess or obtain within twelve months of hire CPSI Certified Playground Safety Inspector certification.

Possess and maintain a valid non-probationary Commercial Drivers License not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
Possess a Class A Contractors license
Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP)
Asset Management experience
