In addition to the current opening this recruitment may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill future Parks Works Program Manager vacancies within the Parks Division over the next six months.
The King County Parks Department is seeking a Parks Works Program Manager to lead a new Parks Works Program. KC Parks is creating a Parks Works Program that will provide 18 months of county employment to individuals who are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of entering the homelessness system. This program is designed to stabilize peoples lives by providing a county-supported job with the goal of helping people progress to getting a permanent job securing permanent housing and exiting the homeless system.
About the Role:
In this role you will support implementing elements of a $5 million program scaled to deliver employment and housing opportunities. The position will require strong project management communication and results-oriented skills to help ensure program success and provide a cohesive experience for the new County employees. Specifically this position will assist in developing the Parks Works Program collaborate with community partners and support participants in navigating employment and housing services.
