Job Summary

The USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accepting applications for a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at the USC Medical Plaza Pharmacy. Responsibilities include providing patient care in travel health diabetes hormonal contraception and comprehensive medication management; coordinating community-based clinical programs at the USC Health Sciences Campus Pharmacies; managing daily clinical operations; building and maintaining collaborative relationships with partnering physicians/groups; training students and pharmacy residents in community-based practice; working with pharmacy staff and faculty to ensure positive program outcomes and patient satisfaction. Teaching responsibilities include precepting and evaluating IPPE and APPE students and pharmacy practice residents. The position will also require developing and integrating quality assurance / improvement methods to measurably improve program structure process and outcome. The candidate must possess clinical skills in comprehensive medication management (CMM) and working effectively on interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Applicants must have a PharmD degree and licensure or eligibility for licensure in California. Completion of a pharmacy residency and/or fellowship is preferred as well as experience teaching and precepting IPPE and APPE students in clinic and providing patient care in areas emphasized above.

Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency program or equivalent experience preferred.

Occasional meetings evenings and weekends.

The hourly rate range for this position is $72.00 - $75.00. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.

6-month fixed-term position.

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree
Minimum Experience: 1 year
Minimum Field of Expertise: Degree from accredited (ACPE) school of pharmacy. Registered pharmacist in state of California. Hospital pharmacy experience. Familiarity with unit dose IV admixtures and clinical pharmacy practice.
