About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Contract Manager to lead and deliver TasNetworks state-wide regulated Vegetation Program across our transmission and distribution networks. This specialist role is critical to ensuring network safety reliability and compliance while achieving strong commercial and customer outcomes.
In this role you will provide strategic oversight and contract management of TasNetworks vegetation program ensuring it is delivered safely efficiently and in line with regulatory and business requirements. You will work closely with internal teams contractors and key stakeholders to manage risk optimise performance and deliver value for money outcomes.
This role is responsible for ensuring effective resourcing governance budget control and delivery of program timelines while managing the commercial and operational performance of vegetation contracts. It builds strong working relationships with contractors suppliers customers and internal stakeholders analyses program performance data to produce clear and insightful reporting for leaders and uses enterprise systems to monitor and manage contractor delivery and performance.
About you
You are an experienced contract or program manager with strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of vegetation and asset management in a regulated utility or infrastructure environment.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in project management or extensive equivalent professional experience delivering large-scale programs ($20M p.a.) in an ESI or similar environment.
- Proven ability to negotiate balanced commercial outcomes within established contract and procurement frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of vegetation risk management asset management compliance and operational standards.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse interpret and present complex data in clear concise formats for senior stakeholders.
- Experience making informed decisions and delegating effectively to support successful program delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong internal and external relationships.
