Job Summary
The Opportunity:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Overnight Deli Clerk at Southdale Food Store located at 77 Vermillion Road in Winnipeg MB. This position reports to the Deli Manager.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Maintain sections of merchandise (luncheon meat cheese home meal replacement hot food bulk product packaged product) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in first-out rotation is followed at all times and that close-dated product is reported to the Deli Manager.
- Ensure the deli department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
- Prepare fresh value-added product and home meal replacement items as per established Co-op recipes and procedures. Ensure consistency in ingredients used and preparation method at all times.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure department image and safety standards are followed.

About You:
To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- Previous experience in a retail deli department is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds repeatedly.
- Availability for overnight shifts with scheduled hours varying from 16 to 40 hours a week.
- Availability to train for the position during daytime hours and transition to night shift once training is complete.
