Job Summary
The firm is seeking an experienced Liability Defense Attorney to join its Miami-based practice. This role focuses on the defense of liability claims from pre-suit analysis through active litigation. The ideal candidate is a confident advocate with strong judgment excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex matters efficiently. This position is well suited for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys taking ownership of cases and values working within a supportive team-oriented practice.
Responsibilities
- Defend liability claims at all stages including pre-suit evaluation and litigation
- Manage premises liability and negligence matters
- Draft pleadings motions and written discovery
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties and witnesses
- Attend mediations hearings and other court proceedings
- Analyze case strategy exposure and resolution options
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Maintain accurate billing and comply with reporting guidelines
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Minimum of five years of experience defending premises liability or similar negligence claims
- Strong legal writing analytical and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and respond to urgent issues
- Collaborative detail-oriented and client-focused approach
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range of 140000 to 180000 depending on experience
