This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position.
This position is for a Permanent WGAIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC (TITLE 32) Position Description Number Dand is part of the MO 139th Airlift Wing. This is a bargaining position.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
Maximum Military Grade - SMSgt (E-8)
Minimum Military Grade - A1C (E-3)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience education or training which demonstrates your knowledge of aircraft engine parts and components and an understanding of general mechanical systems; knowledge of and skill in the use of proper type or size of tools to perform assigned work.
WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience that demonstrates your ability to troubleshoot remove repair install certify test and perform operational checks on C-130 turboprop engines propellers and associated propulsion system components. The specialized experience must also demonstrate skill in the use of test equipment such as computer borescopes fuel pressure gauges air pressure gauges and alignment fixtures; and operate certify and maintain engine test/trim automated system (ETTAS) on the engine test cell to evaluate identify and correct propeller and engine components causing vibration or impending failure.
Possession (or previous possession) of AFSC 2AXXX is optimum.
This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
