Kentucky Real Estate / Title Attorney
Location: Elizabethtown Kentucky (Office-based)

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Kentucky-licensed attorney to join our escrow and title company as a Real Estate / Title Attorney. This position plays a critical role in supporting residential and commercial real estate transactions ensuring legal compliance resolving title issues and conducting or supervising closings in accordance with Kentucky law.
The ideal candidate is a practical transaction-focused attorney who is comfortable working closely with escrow officers lenders real estate professionals and consumers in a fast-paced closing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct and/or supervise residential and commercial real estate closings in Kentucky
- Review title searches commitments and exceptions; resolve title defects and curative issues
- Ensure compliance with Kentucky real estate law Kentucky Department of Insurance regulations RESPA and TRID
- Review and explain closing documents including deeds mortgages settlement statements and affidavits
- Provide legal guidance to escrow and title staff on complex or escalated transactions
- Communicate with lenders real estate agents underwriters and clients regarding legal and title matters
- Support underwriting decisions risk management and claims prevention efforts
- Assist with audits regulatory examinations and internal compliance initiatives
- Provide training and legal guidance to internal staff as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Kentucky real estate law title escrow or closing practice
- Strong knowledge of Kentucky real property law and closing procedures
- Ability to independently manage closings and resolve complex title issues
Preferred:
- Experience working with a title insurance agency or underwriter
- Commercial real estate transaction experience
- Familiarity with Kentucky recording practices across multiple counties
