About the Role:
To oversee the design of Liquids Pump Station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by thirdparty engineering firms. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with company standards specifications and industry codes while maintaining alignment with project budgets and schedules. This role also acts as a liaison with Enbridge functional groupsincluding Project Execution Operations and Shared Servicesto ensure project and company requirements are incorporated into all design deliverables.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Manages thirdparty engineering consultants to ensure all design deliverables meet quality standards while remaining within budget and schedule constraints.
- Ensures all pump station facilities are designed in accordance with applicable regulations industry codes and corporate standards.
- Designs electrical components and interconnects associated with pump station facilities.
- Reviews and approves design deliverables including drawings technical reports and material listing sheets.
- Participates in design review meetings with engineering firms Project Managers Operations and Construction personnel to discuss scope design intent performance expectations and constructability considerations.
- Reviews vendor material quotations prepares technical evaluations and recommends selections based on technical merit cost and delivery timelines (e.g. pumps motors vessels buildings generators pipes valves and fittings).
- Actively identifies and communicates new lessons learned and quality incidents related to assigned projects.
- Supports departmental initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of four (4) years of industry experience.
Preferred:
- Ability to work independently manage multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks.
- Strong problemsolving skills using established standards modified standards or prior experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and their impacts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- 80% officebased work with multiple project teams.
- 20% fieldwork for project scoping or supporting procurement construction and commissioning activities.
- Requires managing timesensitive deliverables.
- Strong computer skills required including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
