Job Summary

The Post-Production Apprentice position exists to learn and develop the ability to post-produce the audio for original episodes of Adventures in Odyssey audio dramas. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Becomes immersed in the world of Adventures in Odyssey learning the shows history characters locations and devicesAssists in post-producing the audio for Adventures in Odyssey episodesRevises the audio for post- produced episodes as directedMay attend recording sessions for the purpose of learning and facilitating the recording of episodes when requested by Executive Producer or Post-Production DirectorOther Duties/Responsibilities:Learns complete audio post-production process from recording through masteringReads scripts and learns how to provide helpful inputAssists other audio engineers/sound designers as needed Performs other duties as assignedManagerial Breadth/Scope of Job:NoneWorking Environment/Physical Requirements:Studio environmentMay be required to travel occasionallyThis role may require occasional travel including nights and weekendsJOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSCharacter/Spiritual:Exemplifies Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children and walk in love as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always even to the end of the a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Focus; adheres to theStandard of Moral ConductandStatement of Faith; upholds Focus on the Familys ministry in prayerPrays personally for Focus on the Familys staff and constituents and may occasionally lead in a public prayerEngages in Christian ministryDemonstrates behaviors aligned withFOF core valuesPersonal Characteristics:Creative detail-oriented insightful self-motivated assertive articulate decisive diplomatic self-accountable patient flexible approachable demonstrates concern for long-term effectiveness and fits in well with creative teamKnowledge/Experience:Bachelors Degree inAudio and/or Film Production withanemphasisin audioor Communications Preferred1 - 3 years of experience in audio post-productionThorough knowledge of the Bible and Christian worldviewWorking knowledge of Adventures in Odyssey FOF mission philosophy values and objectivesSkills Abilities and Special Talents/Gifts:Advanced post-production skills; ability to produce to various styles and genresAbility to both think and produce creativelyAbility to clearly articulate and to defend a positionAbility to deal with stress due to deadline pressureBasic organizational skillsAbility to apply imaginative approaches to others ideasCompetent in use of Pro Tools as well as plug-ins and outboard gearCompetent as a recording engineer in communicating production needs during session and running recording studio equipmentAbility to work primarily alone Salary Range:$18.00 to $21.00/hr Application Materials Required: Cover Letter Resume/CV*Colorado Residents: In any materials you submit you may redact or remove any age-identifying information such as age date of birth or dates of school attendance or graduation.
