Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Second in Science to join a supportive and well-established secondary school in Ely from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Science teacher looking to take the next step into leadership within a collaborative department and a school that places real value on staff development.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting others driving high standards and working closely with the Head of Science to further strengthen the department.
The Role
Supporting the Head of Science in the leadership and day-to-day running of the department
Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on specialism and experience
Supporting curriculum development assessment and quality assurance
Mentoring and supporting colleagues including ECTs where appropriate
Helping to drive consistently high standards of teaching and learning
Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school improvement initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in a Science-related subject
Proven experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Experience supporting colleagues or taking on additional responsibility
Strong subject knowledge and high expectations for pupil progress
A collaborative organised and supportive leadership approach
