Who are we

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) is a sovereign tribe located in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Bordered by the cities of Scottsdale Tempe Mesa and Fountain Hills the Community serves over 10800 tribal members and all individuals conducting business over approximately 96 square miles of residential agricultural and commercial lands. The Community serves as a full-service government entity committed to the health and well-being of its people and workforce.

What the job looks like:

We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful Social Worker I to join our Health and Human Services this role you will provide professional social services casework to support individual treatment goals and recovery plans. You will help clients access housing employment healthcare and other community resources while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Your day-to-day work will include facilitating referrals coordinating care plans and leading psychoeducational groups that empower clients to build skills for long-term success. You will also participate in Adult Recovery Team (ART) meetings contribute to discharge and re-entry planning and advocate for clients needs through a trauma-informed approach.

This position is more than case managementits about building trust fostering resilience and helping individuals overcome barriers to stability. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting clients through critical transitions and connecting them to resources that promote health recovery and independence.


Apply if you have:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work or a closely related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in social services
  • Strong understanding of social work principles behavioral health practices and community resources
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide client-centered care

Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that would allow you to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position will be considered.


Underfill Eligibility:

An enrolled Community Member who closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19 Underfill.
