Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Applications Development. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues challenges within field of specialization to develop simple applications solutions. Second level professional with direct impact on results and outcome.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design develop test and implement mainframe applications using COBOL JCL DB2 and VSAM
Analyze business requirements and convert them into detailed technical designs
Work on both batch and online (CICS) applications
Perform code reviews unit testing and integration testing
Provide production support incident resolution and root cause analysis
Collaborate with business analysts QA teams and clients to deliver solutions
Participate in system enhancements maintenance and performance tuning
Ensure adherence to coding standards security policies and SDLC processes
Support release management and deployment activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:

47 years of experience in Mainframe Development
Strong hands-on experience in COBOL JCL DB2 VSAM
Good experience with CICS for online transaction processing
Exposure to batch processing and scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M CA7)
Experience in debugging tools like Abend-AID File-Aid
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience in Banking Insurance or Financial Services domain
Exposure to mainframe modernization or integration projects
Knowledge of APIs web services or distributed systems integration
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
