POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides nursing care to ambulatory area patients under the supervision of the Licensed Registered Nurse. Under the direction of the RN supports quality and efficiency of clinic services throughout the ambulatory areas. The LVN contributes their service to the physical and emotional care and education of the patient family and staff in accordance with the philosophy and standards of Enloe Medical Center.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Six months nursing experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting OR one-year nursing experience in a non-acute care setting.
Desired:
Experience in clinic-based practice
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current licensure with the California Board of Vocational Nursing
Current CPR certification
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence professional clinical judgment communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality always. Furthers education and clinical skills by attending classes and workshops. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
