Tasks

• Design build and optimise the core journeys of our service for advisers and colleagues - including user authentication meeting recording and transcription management of user preferences and integration with 3rd party software tools used by advice firms (e.g. CRM systems Microsoft Office corporate SSO providers)
• Collaborate closely with the wider engineering team to deliver production-ready features that improve adviser productivity and client experience
• Write high-quality testable code and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• Take ownership of technical design and architectural decisions as part of a small fast-moving team
• Technology stack - Node back-end Vue/React front-end MongoDB AWS infrastructure

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or STEM subject
• 1 years experience of designing developing shipping and maintaining backend applications using and front-end web applications using modern javascript frameworks (ideally Vue and React)
• Hands on experience working with Typescript
• Experience working with databases and infrastructure services
• Desirable working with MongoDB
• Desirable working with AWS (e.g. Cognito S3 SES)
• Has worked with other developers in an agile set-up
• Experienced in debugging and fixing live incidents in a time-pressured situation
• Working on ticket based tasks in an agile environment
• Experience of building both front end and backend code to complete tickets
• Precisely match Figma design
• Matching design standards and code patterns
• Writing unit/e2e tests
• Suggest improvements to code/infrastructure/practices etc - (we always want to improve)
• Has a strong understanding of industry trends and development best practices
• Has a strong sense of ownership attention to detail and the ability to work independently and find solutions with a team-oriented work ethic
• (You will be well supported but we want someone who can take initiative)
• Has strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration
• Is proactive initiates is well organised and offers assistance even without being asked
