Falk Defence develops cutting-edge missiles guided rockets and launcher technologies for defence applications. We combine innovation precision and reliability to deliver mission-critical systems of the highest standard.
Tasks
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern you will work closely with our engineering team on the design development and testing of mechanical systems for missiles and rocket components. You will be involved across the full development cycle: from CAD design to hands-on testing in laboratory and field environments.
- Design and build mechanical test rigs including CAD modelling component selection and assembly
- Support the setup commissioning and execution of laboratory and field tests
- Contribute to the mechanical and structural design of missile and rocket components
- Perform experiments measurements and functional tests on real hardware
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers from mechanical electrical and systems engineering
Requirements
- Advanced student in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- Solid experience with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks Siemens NX CATIA or similar)
- Hands-on experience with mechanical prototypes or test setups (university projects student teams internships maker projects etc.)
- Strong interest in aerospace defence technologies and complex mechanical systems
- Structured independent working style with a strong hands-on mindset
- Citizenship of an EU or NATO member state (excluding the United States)
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
Benefits
- A technically demanding internship in a fast-growing defence technology company
- Direct involvement in the development and testing of next-generation missile systems
- Deep hands-on experience in mechanical design test engineering and hardware development
- Close mentorship rapid learning and real engineering responsibility
