General Purpose
This position is responsible for the daily operations of the Burlington Community Boathouse Marina Waterfront Park Perkins Pier Marina Skate Park Fishing Pier and Harbor operations.

Remote Tier 1:Zero (0) days remote/week
Essential Job Functions
- Provide high level of customer service in a fast-paced often stressful environment
- Providing general knowledge of the local area to visitors
- Assigning and directing boaters to appropriate slips both seasonal and transient
- Docking vessels safely into Port
- Completing reservations for transient boats on the marina program according to length of boat length of stay and weather conditions
- Assigning moorings to incoming vessels according to length
- Pump out holding tanks of vessels
- Supervision of Burlington Harbor and Moorings
- Accepting and processing transient dockage and mooring fees
- Processing other POS operations (Pump outs Hourly Dockage)
- Light maintenance of Waterfront facilities including but not limited to: Painting scraping graffiti removal spider web removal
- Light maintenance of docking systems including but not limited to: Bumper repair cleat repair daily assessment and daily cleaning
- Trash Removal: Boathouse Perkins Pier Waterfront Park Special Events Lake Street Fishing Pier Skate park and other parks at request
- Opening and closing of assigned facilities
- Cleaning of Facilities: Boathouse Perkins Pier Info Booth Building
- Landscaping: Mowing trimming debris removal of select Waterfront areas
- Special Event support as needed
- Informs patrons of park and harbor rules and regulations
- Assists in parking lot supervision assist customers with kiosks and keep parking lot clean of refuse
- Performs other such duties as may be assigned by the seasonal supervisor and/or Marina Manager
- Position may require the operation of City vehicles and/or personal vehicles in order to conduct City business.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
- Ability to actively support City diversity equity and cultural competency efforts within stated job responsibilities and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusion as evidenced by ongoing trainings and professional development.
- Valid Drivers License
- Operation of a City vehicle or personal vehicle to conduct City business without providing proof of a valid drivers license to Human Resources will not be permitted. A valid drivers license shall be defined as a current state of residence-issued license to operate a motor vehicle on public roadways. Position also requires the ability to be covered under the Citys vehicle insurance policy prior to operation of any City vehicles or non-City vehicles for City business
- Valid Boaters license preferred but not required. Can learn about Boater Safety and take the test while on the job.
