Brattleboro Memorial Hospital part of Southern Vermont Health Services Corporation is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join its Urology practice in Brattleboro Vermont supporting a collaborative surgical team in the evaluation treatment and long-term management of patients with urologic conditions in an established physician office setting.

DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE:
The BMH-owned or managed physician practices provide medical services in various specialties and offices including pediatrics OB/GYN cardiology orthopedics general surgery family practice and internal medicine. The practices are staffed by physicians and other licensed providers who are supported by clinical staff (LPNs or medical assistants) and clerical staff (receptionists transcriptionists file clerks). Hours vary by practice.

Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner will:
  • Assist the Urology surgeon in diagnosing and treating urologic conditions
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement treatment and care plans
  • Order perform and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Assist in urologic surgeries and office-based procedures
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses procedures and treatment plans
  • Manage post-operative and follow-up care
  • Coordinate care with physicians nurses and clinical staff
  • Adhere to universal precautions and OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards
  • Work in an environment with potential exposure to blood body fluids and communicable diseases
  • Perform duties requiring manual dexterity patient handling and clinical documentation
  • Support departmental operations alongside LPNs medical assistants and clerical staff
  • Practice under a supervising physician in a physician office setting
  • Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour
  • Not accepting visa candidates
  • Not open to LOCUM or LOCUM to PERM candidates
  • Not open to candidates who plan to work this job in conjunction with another position

Compensation Benefits:
  • $115000 $135000 annually
  • Pay range provided in compliance with Vermont Act 155
  • Final compensation determined based on:

  • Master s degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program REQUIRED
  • Active Vermont APRN License REQUIRED
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience in Urology REQUIRED
  • Healthcare Provider CPR Certification REQUIRED
  • Credentialable by BMH Medical Staff REQUIRED
  • DEA License REQUIRED
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - REQUIRED * no exemption required at presentation


CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
  • ANCC

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
  • Vermont

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Eligible for credentialing by Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Medical Staff National APRN certification recognized by the Vermont State Board of Nursing (preferred)
Weekend Requirements : No weekend coverage required
On Call Requirements : Rotating on-call coverage (times not specified)
