Torch Technologies is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst/Engineer to join a well-established team in an AVMC lab that supports the development test and fielding of a tactical missile defense system. The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems tactical software & hardware and digital representations of complex missile defense systems.
As a Junior Data Analyst/Engineer your duties will include the following but are not limited to:
- Common tasks for this position include analysis tool design and development and complex analysis on missile defense system and/or algorithm performance.
- The selected candidate will investigate issues perform root cause analysis and develop creative solutions to complex technical problems.
- The selected candidate may support a broad range of projects including performance analysis modeling & simulation (M&S) post-flight reconstruction and integration and risk reduction efforts.
- Apply practical engineering knowledge across a broad range of established system engineering principles concepts and methods
- The selected candidate will interact with external customers and stakeholders within the program offices and development prime contractors.
Job Requirements Required Skills / Experience:
- US Citizenship.
- Minimum of a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering Physics Math or Computer Science from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of relevant working experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
- Must have an active secret clearance.
- 2 years of relevant working experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
- Proficient in data manipulation and analysis data visualization signal and data processing electromagnetics and/or system engineering using MATLAB or similar tools.
- Must have the ability to recognize and analyze problems conduct research summarize results and make appropriate recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting complex data and developing effective models.
- Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex system behaviors effectively to a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using MATLAB.
- Experience in C C Linux/Unix operating systems and Microsoft Office.
