The Simulation Program Coordinator (SPC) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing expert evidence-based education to staff. Provides educational instruction and training for nursing staff in clinical and outpatient units. Responsible and accountable for the development promotion delivery of professional simulation education training and evaluation for healthcare staff across all departments and services within the medical center in accordance with the SimLEARN Certification Program. They assess plan implement and evaluate the compliance with national and local standards for the Simulation program. They must maintain accurate records for all simulation and training activity staff compliance and issue timely reports and updates on all activities. They understand instructional design simulation concepts implementation and application related to education and training. Performs learning needs assessments develops educational trainings for staff within organization. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to support and evaluate responses to emergency events in the facility to include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS). Organizes participates and evaluates mock codes. They will coordinate plan and implement innovative technologies to provide a psychologically safe learning environment that teaches diagnostic procedural technical and communication skills to staff across the medical center. Systematically evaluates current practice formulate outcomes for groups of patients and/or organizational processes within area of expertise. Reviews current nursing literature for new trends and changes based on evidence-based research with the ability to propose practice and documentation revisions based on evaluation of outcomes. Collaborates with leadership and unit managers to identify educational training needs for staff while supporting activities that foster competence critical thinking clinical reasoning and decision making. Provides consultation and collaboration through the participation within organizational committees. Ability to analyze interpret and evaluate data to determine outcomes and changes related to educational programs. Responsible for the documented outcomes at the program service facility and/or network/national level.

Basic Requirements:
The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) must be fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission On Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Verification of accreditation may be obtained from or your school has changed names or is no longer in existence you must provide this information in your application.
