Typical Day in the Role :

Design develop and enhance Power BI solutions using Power BI Desktop Service Apps and Workspaces.

Create and optimize DAX calculations including time intelligence and performance-oriented patterns.
-
Build and maintain Power Query (M) transformations for complex data preparation.
-
Design and optimize dataset models for storage efficiency and scalability.
-
Write and optimize SQL queries (T-SQL preferred) to support analytical workloads.
-
Work with Azure data services such as Synapse Azure SQL Dataverse and ADLS.
-
Implement and manage incremental refresh and large dataset strategies.
-
Monitor and improve report refresh and query performance.
-
Apply analytics engineering best practices including KPI definitions reusable semantic layers and documentation.
-
Ensure model governance and adherence to BI standards.
Ideal Background for the Candidate

Strong hands-on experience in Core Power BI including:
-
Power BI Desktop Service Apps and Workspaces

Advanced DAX (time intelligence optimization patterns CALCULATE behavior)

Power Query (M)

Dataset modeling and storage optimization

Strong SQL skills (T-SQL preferred) with solid relational data modeling experience.
