Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care in a Long Term Care facility. Responsibilities include patient care medication administration and collaboration with the healthcare team. The role requires previous travel experience and a willingness to work either day or night shifts based on facility needs.
Location:Seward Alaska United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Long Term Care setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and symptoms.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active AK Registered Nurse license in hand
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care experience
- Previous travel experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Willingness/ability to work any holidays
Special Considerations:
- Variable shifts (4x12 or 3x12) either days or nights based on facility needs.
- Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving Christmas New Years).
- Traveler can be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.
- Facility will arrange for a vehicle for traveler to use while on assignment.
Scheduling:
- 4x12 or 3x12 Variable shifts
- Shifts will be either Days or Nights dependent on facility needs at time of start date.
- Guaranteed Hours: 60 Hours per 2 weeks
