Summary:
-
Lead instrumentation engineering projects and establish best practices
-
Develop document and continuously improve test and calibration procedures
-
Design calibration systems test fixtures and data-processing tools
-
Lead technical design reviews and test readiness reviews
-
Guide teams designing test hardware software and systems to meet program objectives
-
Apply lessons learned to improve verification and validation methods
-
Oversee test execution data analysis formatting and customer delivery
-
Approve test data prior to customer submission
-
Establish baselines and manage changes to SOW requirements cost schedule and risk
-
Lead development and approval of estimates and proposals
-
Manage cross-functional communication of plans and performance
-
Train and mentor engineers and technicians
-
Proactively drive performance to plan under minimal supervision
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree with 9 years of experience or Masters degree with 7 years of experience or PhD with 4 years of experience
-
Degree must be from an accredited program in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry
-
Strong project management experience
-
Experience with Integrated Test Vehicle (ITV) design
-
Experience with aircraft systems instrumentation and wind tunnel instrumentation
-
Proficiency with drafting tools (MS Visio Zuken CATIA AutoCAD etc.)
-
Expertise in instrumentation sensors and data/control acquisition systems
-
Experience with hydraulic systems and aircraft electrical systems
-
Systems engineering experience
-
Proficiency with LabVIEW and NI hardware
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
-
Understanding of electromagnetic interference (EMI)
-
Experience with PLCs and closed-loop control systems
