Job Description: Role Overview
Client is seeking a UAT Import/Export Lead for a short-term assignment to support User Acceptance Testing and/or operational backfill for Import/Export processes. This role requires strong subject matter expertise (SME) in Import/Export compliance and operations hands-on experience with SAP and the ability to work closely with both IT and business teams. The ideal candidate will have operational experience in global trade processes and flexibility to either execute testing activities under business SME guidance or temporarily backfill operational tasks during project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or support UAT activities for Import/Export processes including test planning execution and defect management.
Collaborate with business SMEs and IT teams to ensure test coverage aligns with clients global trade compliance and operational requirements.
Execute test scripts and validate system functionality against business processes.
Document test results and escalate issues for resolution.
If required backfill operational tasks in Import/Export to maintain business continuity during project phases.
Act as a liaison between IT and business teams translating technical requirements into business context.
Ensure compliance with clients testing standards and governance.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong Import/Export process expertise including customs documentation trade compliance and shipping requirements.
Hands-on experience with SAP modules related to global trade and logistics.
Familiarity with UAT methodologies and test management tools (e.g. JIRA HP ALM).
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Highly Desirable
Operational experience in consumer goods or manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of clients regional business practices and compliance requirements.
Local language skills and cultural awareness for effective collaboration.
Ability to adapt between testing and operational roles as needed.
