GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing security functions such as protecting property and guarding a broad range of highly sensitive items from hazards such as trespass theft and accidental or willful damage/destruction within installations or restricted areas.
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing security functions such as assisting with the detection apprehension and detention of violators for appropriate disposition.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

Must successfully obtain and maintain CPR certification and complete first aid training.
Required to wear a standardized uniform while performing official duties. The employee is responsible for the upkeep and serviceability of uniform items which may be issued and periodically replenished by NSWDG or employee may receive funds to purchase and replenish uniform items annually at the governments discretion.
Must work rotating shifts and other than normal duty hours which may include evenings weekends and/or holidays to cover a 24 hour/seven days a week operation. Shift assignment is subject to change at any time. Overtime may be required at times with minimal notice.
