About The Role:

Libraries are evolving - and so are our collections. As a Collections Development Officer youll make sure our resources stay accurate accessible and relevant. This role blends the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps our libraries humming with the frontline moments that shape a great customer experience. It involves preparing and maintaining collections refining records and using feedback to make resources easier to discover and enjoy. It also supports our growing range of nontraditional collections and programs helping staff turn creative ideas into meaningful experiences for the community.

About You:

Youre detail-focused creative and enjoy making systems work better. You have strong technical skills a collaborative approach and a passion for ensuring collections meet community needs.

In this role you will:

  • Shape and curate innovative collections including items for the Library of Things and other unique lending collections
  • Process and catalogue new resources ensuring compliance with standards
  • Maintain accurate metadata and records for the One Card consortium
  • Support staff with non-traditional collection projects and pilots
  • Apply data and feedback to improve collection relevance and accessibility
  • Deliver great customer experience across library sites

About Our Team:

Join our libraries team to connect discover and inspire our community every day. The team continues to grow across two new community hubs that host a wealth of books entertainment events and increasing resources for all ages. Join a passionate team with a love for literacy and all things learning.

The Detail:

The position is offered on a part-time permanent basis working 37.5 hours per fortnight (0.5FTE) and is classified at Level 4 with a starting salary of $94868 per annum (pro-rata) Super Annual Leave Loading.

A current unprohibited Working with Children Check must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
