SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Airline Specific Trainer is responsible for designing developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees across various departments. This role involves identifying training needs creating training materials and facilitating both in-person and online training sessions. You will be responsible for assessing training effectiveness providing feedback and continuously improving training programs to meet organizational goals. Additionally you will collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to ensure that training aligns with company objectives and contributes to the professional development ofemployees within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the oversight of JetBlue University (JBU) College of Airports the Corporate Trainer serves as an adjunct instructor responsible for delivering approved training in classroom virtual and operational environments.
- Maintain current operational expertise to ensure instructional credibility and supports JetBlues commitment to safety compliance and an exceptional crewmember and customer experience.
- Deliver effective instructor-led virtual and operational training to new and existing crewmembers and business partners in accordance with JetBlue Universityapproved curriculum.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements
- Collaborate with JBU College of Airports and business partner leadership to ensure alignment with training objectives expectations and escalation paths
- Communicate clearly professionally and in a timely manner with JBU College of Airports while delivering training on behalf of JetBlue.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all training materials and activities
- Facilitate soft skills training leadership development and technical skills training as needed
- Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging and impactful training content
- Assess training program outcomes and provide feedback to employees and management for continuous improvement
- Manage training logistics including scheduling resources and training facilities
- Travel across the JetBlue network as required to support approved training initiatives
- Achieve and maintain JBU College of Airports learner satisfaction benchmarks (84%87%).
- Attend required annual training sessions calibration events and pre-briefs to maintain qualification status.
- Monitor and track employee progress and development through training programs
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to work remotely with travel up to 50%
- Must have a valid state-issued drivers license with an acceptable driving record
- Communicate effectively in English (reading writing speaking)
- 3 years as airline certified trainer
- 5 years JetBlue above wing training experience and current JetBlue above wing certification
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both in-person and through electronic means
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations
