Orlando VA Healthcare Systems Surgery Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Operative Urologist. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program.

The Orlando VA Healthcare System is seeking a candidate with skills in General Urologic Surgery. The candidate also provides a variety of services including pre-operative patient exam and assessment and performs all aspects of Adult Urological Surgery including treatment of lesions biopsies urological laser procedures enucleating stent insertion prostate penile and bladder surgery. The provider will perform urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR ICU ward and clinic settings as needed to include on-call coverage. The incumbent may also be involved in program planning objectives policies and standards essential to delivery of quality urological care.

To qualify for this position you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
