Job Summary

Position: AUTO ELECTRICIAN

Overview:

Performs skilled level of electrical work in the maintenance & repair of

electrical systems equipment electrical panels and machines.

Primary functions:

• Performs preventive and routine maintenance for vehicles and

equipment as per maintenance plan.

• Repairs installs replaces and tests electrical circuits equipment

and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.

• Understands and follows all safety rules and proper procedures

associated with the responsibilities of the job.

• Performs major & minor repairs inspection check list of equipment &

machines e.g. Electrical motors Transformers Electrical panels

Generators Welding Machines Air Compressors Tower Lights etc.

• Performs overhaul of Auto Electrical components complete wiring

troubleshooting etc.

• Ensure that all preventive maintenance (electrical) is conducted as

defined in the system.

• Attend breakdowns as reported by Staff & Equipment Control on

immediate basis.

• Reports completion of tasks assigned and indicates need for

additional maintenance to appropriate personnel.

• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct

supervision.

• Obtain approval of supervisor/ foreman before making purchase

requisition and submitting to stores.

• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Foreman and

supervisor.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Between 30-45 years old energetic in good health and has a strong

personality.

• English literate. Knows how to speak and write in English.

• At least 4 years of field experience with technical school certificate.

• Gulf Experience is an advantage.

• Success of maintaining and repairing equipment within acceptable time

frame and minimum cost with proper execution as per PM plan.

• Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends.

Specific skills and knowledge:

• Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair

Install replace and test electrical circuits equipment and appliances.

• Ability to read drawings schematics Electrical drawings reference

manuals and OEM Recommendations.
