Vertex is looking for enthusiasticcuriousand dedicated students to join our International Patient Engagement (IPE) team for a working student.This based position islocatedat our office in Munich Germany.Applicants should be undertaking a relevantdegreequalification and ideally have a strong interest in patient engagement in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry.
Role Description
The IPE teamis responsible forbringing the patients perspective into Vertexs work byestablishingmeaningful collaborations with patient communities at in-country and above-country level. IPE works across the whole lifecycle of therapies and medicines developed by Vertex. By joining IPE you will learn how Vertex engages externally and how such engagement shapes decisions across the whole lifecycle of Vertexs medicines and therapies from early research to post-marketing.
In thisroleyou will get the opportunity to learn about our industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be learning more about patient organizations andperspectivewhile working alongside some of the brightest people in the industry. Students can expect to be challenged by their work and feel valued by the Vertex community.
Key DutiesAndResponsibilities
Support patient engagement projects and initiatives.
Participates in meetings with patient organizations
Assistwith compliance processes contract preparation and documentation management.
Conduct research on patient advocacy trends and healthcare policies.
Prepare materials presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Organize meetings/ workshops including scheduling preparing agendas and taking minutes.
Maintain and update databases and tools related to patient engagement activities.
Key Requirements
Enrolled in a Bachelors orMastersprogram in Life Sciences Public Health Business Administration Communications ora relatedfield.
Strong interest in patient advocacy and understanding of Patient Engagement in the biotech industry.
Proactive self-motivated anda strong teamplayer with problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational time management and communication skills.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and other digital tools.
Fluent in German and English.
